With the SPL SMC 7.1 monitor controller, you can mix and monitor surround sound via 8 channels. You can connect up to two 7.1 inputs and two stereo inputs before selecting 'Solo', 'Solo-In-Place' or 'Solo-To-Center' mode to check mono-compatibility and assess the stereo image position with maximum accuracy. This rack-mountable Expansion Rack edition also features a passive switch that allows you to toggle between four sets of speakers connected to the stereo inputs. The large, all-aluminium volume control on the face of the controller steers an 8-level potentiometer that divides the dBs into eight ranges from 0 to -95dB, and right beside it, SPL has mounted a high-quality headphone jack along with a dedicated headphone volume control.
